Joe Lemieux has worked for over thirty years in the film industry on studio and independent films. He has written, directed, and done special and visual effects for short and feature films of different genres, including horror, romantic comedy, arthouse, and sci-fi.
The spark that lit his imagination was seeing Star Wars at age ten in 1977, where his Mom remembers him pointing at the screen saying, “I want to make movies for the rest of my life.” That spark has never dwindled, so Joe decided to make filmmaking his passion!
He attended the New York Film Academy in 1994. In 1995, he took a train from Boston to Los Angeles, chasing the Hollywood dream. He had fun adventures, and the astonishing honor of meeting and spending time with legendary Sci-fi author Ray Bradbury.
In 1997, he graduated from Full Sail University with an Associates of Science degree in film & television production.
Joe cannot wait for more creative adventures to come and bring them to life on the big screen!
